Margie Miss America was living her dream, always paying her bills on time. Excellent credit, no bad reports to the credit bureau, never a worry about how to repair bad credit, no calls from collection agencies.
Let’s see how what happens to Margie Miss America, if she is unable to pay her bills on time. Due to the possible loss of her job, how will she pay her bills on time? Will she go to collections, have bad credit, go for bad debt counseling? Margie Miss America was very upset one day her friend Sallie asked, what is the matter Margie are you ok? Margie replied I heard a rumor at work about possible layoffs, I am scared of loosing my job. I don’t know how I will continue to pay my bills on time and protect my good credit if I loose my job; my credit report has always been spotless. About three weeks later, Margie fears were realized, she was laid off. The only thing Margie could think about how she would pay her bills and not ruin her credit. Now collection agencies will be calling me. What will I do? The only thing Margie could do was cry until she could not cry anymore. Sallie pleaded with Margie to pull herself together. For as long as Sallie had known Margie she had always paid her bills on-time, why would she be sentenced to bad credit, collection agency, credit bureau prison? Was Margie not telling the truth about her payment history? Was she paying her bills on time? Sallie was determined to find out. Sallie asked Margie, if you have always paid your creditors on time, why would your creditors, send your accounts to collection agencies, and report you just to the credit bureau, and give you bad credit? Sallie said Margie don’t worry since you have always paid your bills on time, your creditors will be happy to work with you. Just give them a call and let them know your present situation. They will pull up your payment history, and they will see you have always paid them on time, you will not have a problem. They will work out a payment plan that is reasonable for them and you. Stop worrying about bad credit repair, collection agencies, and bad credit bureau reports. Don’t put the cart before the horse. Margie Miss America called her creditors and explained she might have trouble paying her bills since she has been laid off from her job, and her income would now be about half of what she is used to living off of. The first creditor Margie spoke to pulled up her payment history and complimented on paying her bills on time each and every month, then set up a new payment plan with her. The second creditor Margie spoke to pulled up her payment history and complimented on paying her bills on time each and every month, then set up a new payment plan with her. The third creditor Margie spoke to pulled up her payment history and complimented on paying her bills on time each and every month, then set up a new payment plan with her. After Margie spoke to all of her creditors, she was feeling better, having made new arrangements to continue to pay her bills on time. She called Sallie, so excited and thanked Sallie for her advice, since she had never missed a payment, it made her feel ill, not to pay her bills on time. Three months later Margie Miss America found a new job, and now she knows again that she will be able to pay her bills on time again. |
