If the reporting party sends in proof of the the error, but it is for someone else’s credit file that error will be removed from your credit report. 5. What if the reporting party sends in the proof to credit bureau that shows the disputed error on your credit report does belong to you. The credit bureau will not remove it. They will show you the results of their investigation. If you still disagree with the error on your credit report you can add a 100-word statement to your credit report. The 100-word statement should tell why you disagree with the error on your report. Getting the errors removed from your credit report is a short painless process. If you have three or four errors on your report you can dispute all the errors at onetime. There are three credit-reporting agencies. You will have to contact all three on an individual basis.
